Tri-Community Adult Education creates an educational environment for a diverse community of adult learners, which promotes the advancement of personal goals, academic, technological and vocational.
Adult ESOL programs are offered in our community schools, the Adult Education Center, and several satellite sites. The different skills that are covered in ESOL classes are listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The Springfield Adult Learning Center (SALC) provides free classes for adults to further their education by earning a High School Equivalency Certificate (HSE) which includes preparing for a GED or a HiSET exam; developing computer, email, or internet skills; learning English as a second language; or enrolling as a student at Springfield Technical Community College .
Augusta Technical College’s Adult Education Program offers free classes in the areas of Adult Literacy, High School Equivalency preparation, and English as a Second Language (ESL). The Adult Education Program also offers classes for those who hold a Degree or Diploma seeking additional learning support or transition to college/workforce services.
